(much better than the big ones). The flat is in a great spot so close yet in a great street and quiet, too. Best to see Amsterdam from.

    As for the apartment, you actually get everything you need. TV+DVD and even a dish washing machine! Love the purple chair & everything else about this place. Felt like home. Even the weather was great.

    We enjoyed each day in Amsterdam, the only problem was that the weather wasn't very nice to us for August, it felt like fall.

    Concerning your apartment: in just a word: perfect.

    A special word about the Red Light District. We come from Toulon, an old sailor place, we used to have such an area like this 'Le Petit Chicago', but everything has disappeared now.

LOVE the purple chair, I wanted to steal it (not really) but then it wouldn't be there next time we visit - which I hope will be sooner than later. This was the exact perfect way to start our three week "Before Kids" trip. We desperately needed this time alone to relax and enjoy a beautiful city together. There are many things to see and experience, just within the city that we only experienced a little. There is a good air exchange system so that you can close the windows and significantly reduce street noise. The apartment allows you to enjoy Amsterdam as locals do and is modern and fully functional. I will definitely consider again for future visits.

The apartment is walking distance from all the main attractions and yet it is lovely and quiet. Everything you need is supplied and the beds are really comfortable. We're very safety oriented and aware of anything possibly dangerous, and we felt very safe and comfortable here. Really, everything you want to do is within walking distance. There were a plethora of Amsterdam tourism books on the bookshelves in the apartment- so incredibly helpful! Hugo was very accommodating and helpful! Wireless, flatscreen, fridge, washer/dryer....everything you want! Really.

This apartment is so wonderful, it looks exactly as it does in the photos - very groovy and has absolutely everything you could possibly need for a fantastic stay in Amsterdam. It immediately felt like home. The location is excellent and everything you would wish to see is within easy walking distance. Hugo is a perfect welcoming host and the information supplied as to where to go and what to do is spot on. The eating out recommendations are particularly excellent.

The bed was very confortable, the living was just what we needed for the late evenings on tv, and the kitchen had everything we needed inside. The apartment is very well located, in the center of Amsterdam, around 15 minutes to Central station, 10 minutes to Dam Square, 5 minutes to Red District and just 3 minutes to the metro station for any other destination.
