Two comfortable canal suites in the heart of the historic city centre of Amsterdam
You will be staying in the heart of the historic city and you could not be more central, however the location is surprisingly quiet.
You can easily walk to all of Amsterdam’s highlights: most museums are just within a mile, some are even within a 5 minute stroll: the Hermitage, the Rembrandt museum and Royal Palace on Dam square. Restaurants, cafes and all kind of shops are practically next door.
The Nieuwmarkt subway station is just around the corner from the apartment and makes transfers from and to the airport, and the rest of Holland, via Central Station, very easy.
Get around: walk or bike
So the best to go around is walking: bring some good shoes! When you want to join the Dutch on there bikes however: go to the bike rental just around the corner en keep on peddling! When you are tired walking, take a bike taxi back to your apartment (they are everywhere). Also the apartment offer easy access to public transportation, as the subway station Nieuwmarkt, connecting to all trams and Central station, is next door.
Getting there - by taxi
If you arrive by plane and book more the 3 nights, I will pre-order a taxi for you for pickup at the airport with Taxi Service De Meerlanden, + 31 20 6475994. Please make sure you have my confirmation in the mail. Upon arrival at the airport please phone the taxi company to confirm your arrival. Getting there - by public transport: Easy Acces
The train ride from the airport to Central Station is around 20 minutes. From the Central Station you take subway 51, 53 or 54 (not 52) and get off at the first stop: Nieuwmarkt. Choose now Exit Nieuwe Hoogstraat. From there it is a 100 meter walk to the apartment.
Leave the subway station through the Exit marked Nieuwe Hoogstraat/
Snoekjessteeg. When you get to street level, you find a narrow alley
immediately on your left, leading backwards, it is a small corridor and it is called
Zuiderkerkhof. It gets you to the Zuiderkerkhof square next to the South Church. Cross the square straight and you enter in an other small alley, called Moddermolenstraat. Walk all to the end and turn then right on Raamgracht.
You 'll find your apartment at he right side, after about 10 houses, at # 23. Ring the doorbell at the top of the stairs next to the # 23.
Arriving there - by car Go To P+R ARENA
A car is useless in Amsterdam: the city is very compact and the apartment is so centrally located, that you can easily walk to all of the highlights. Trams, subway, busses and bike taxis can help out when your feet get tired.
So it is best to park your car at one of the Park & Ride options: parking just outside the city centre, with two even free metro/tram tickets to get you to the apartment. This costs € 8 a day.
We advice you to choose Arena as it has the easiest connection by subway, straight to your apartment (Stop Nieuwmarkt, Exit Nieuwe Hoogstraat).
Another option is to park your car in Oosterdok parking. This one costs around € 15 a day. All the other parkings in the centre wil cost you around € 40 or even € 50 a day.
