Amsterdam Canal Apartments

Two comfortable canal apartments in the heart of the historic city centre of Amsterdam

Getting around

You are in the heart of the old city and cannot be more central than this.

You can easily walk to all highlights in Amsterdam, however, if your feet get tired you can hop on one of the trams, or you can join the Amsterdammers on their bikes and peddle around in the city.

With the Nieuwmarkt Metro station just around the corner from the apartment transfers from and to the airport via Central Station are very easy.

Super central but quiet location

The two canal apartments are located in the heart of the historic city center of Amsterdam. The apartments are close to Central Station and Dam square. All the highlights like museums and concert hall are within a one mile radius of the apartments and some museums like the Rembrandt museum and the Opera and many shops and restaurants are almost next door, so you can easily walk everywhere and forget about public transportation! Above that the canal is usually very quiet.

Getting there - by taxi

f you arrive by plane I will pre-order a taxi for you for pickup at the airport with Taxi Service De Meerlanden, + 31 20 6475994. Please make sure you have my confirmation in the mail. Upon arrival at the airport please phone the taxi company to confirm your arrival. They will then let you know how to find your taxi. The airport pickup is a complimentary service.

Getting there - by public transport

The train ride from the airport to Central Station is around 20 minutes. From there you take any metro departing Central Station and get off at the first stop (Nieuwmarkt Station). Take exit Nieuwe Hoogstraat. From there it is a 100 meter walk to the apartment.

Leave the metro station through the exit marked Nieuwe Hoogstraat/ Snoekjessteeg. When you get to the street level, you find a narrow alley immediately on your left, it is almost like a corridor and it is called Zuiderkerkhof. It gets you to the square next to the South Church. Cross the square straight and you enter in an other small alley the Moddermolenstraat. Walk to the end and turn right on Raamgracht.

You find the apartment at number 23. Ring the doorbell at the top of the stairs.

Arriving there - by car

A car is useless in Amsterdam: the city is very compact and the apartment location so central, that you can easily walk to all of the highlights. Trams, bikes, bike taxis can help out when your feet get tired.

It is best to park your car in a parking garage. The nearby ones cost around € 40-50 per 24 hours.

A much better deal are the Park & Ride options: parking just outside the city centre with free metro/tram tickets to get you to the apartment. Check out the PDF with details.
